Welcome to Cedar & Pine Furnishings ("Company", "we", "our", "us"). These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our website located at www.cedarandpinefurnishings.com ("Website") and all related services, sales, and interactions with our company.

By accessing or using our Website, placing an order, or engaging with our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you may not access the Website or use our services.

1. General Terms

1.1 Eligibility

By using our Website and services, you represent that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts. If you are using the Website on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you represent that you have the authority to bind such entity.

1.2 Account Registration

Certain features may require account registration. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information as necessary. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. All changes will be effective immediately upon posting to the Website. Your continued use of the Website after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the modified Terms.

2. Product Information & Custom Orders

2.1 Product Descriptions

We strive to accurately describe all products on our Website. However, we do not warrant that product descriptions or other content are accurate, complete, reliable, current, or error-free. Natural wood products will vary in grain, color, and texture—these variations are inherent characteristics, not defects.

2.2 Custom Furniture Process

Custom orders require special consideration:

• Custom designs require a 50% non-refundable deposit to begin work
• Final approval of design renderings is required before construction begins
• Changes requested after construction begins may incur additional charges
• All custom sales are final once production begins

2.3 Wood Characteristics

All wood products may exhibit:

• Natural color variations
• Knots and mineral streaks
• Seasonal movement (expansion/contraction)
• Texture variations

These characteristics are inherent to natural materials and do not constitute defects.

3. Orders & Payment

3.1 Order Acceptance

All orders are subject to acceptance by Cedar & Pine Furnishings. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order for any reason, including limitations on quantities available, inaccuracies in product information, or suspicion of fraudulent activity.

3.2 Pricing

All prices are in Indian Rupees (₹) and are subject to change without notice. While we strive for accuracy, pricing errors may occur. We reserve the right to cancel orders containing pricing errors.

3.3 Payment Methods

We accept various payment methods including credit/debit cards, bank transfers, UPI, and select digital wallets. Payment must be completed before order processing begins, except for custom orders which require a 50% deposit.

3.4 Taxes

All applicable taxes (GST, etc.) will be added to your order total and displayed during checkout. You are responsible for any customs duties or import taxes for international orders.

4. Shipping & Delivery

4.1 Delivery Areas

We currently deliver throughout India. International shipping may be arranged for certain items—please contact us for details. Some remote locations may require additional delivery fees.

4.2 Delivery Times

Standard lead times:

• Ready-made items: 2-4 weeks
• Custom furniture: 12-16 weeks
• Large/complex projects: Case-by-case basis

Delivery times are estimates only and not guaranteed. Seasonal demand and material availability may affect timelines.

4.3 Delivery Inspection

You must inspect all items upon delivery and note any visible damage on the delivery receipt. Claims for visible damage must be reported within 24 hours of delivery.

5. Returns & Warranties

5.1 Return Policy

Due to the custom nature of our products:

• Ready-made items may be returned within 7 days for store credit, subject to 20% restocking fee
• Custom orders cannot be returned or refunded once production begins
• All returns require prior authorization

5.2 Craftsmanship Warranty

We warrant our furniture against defects in materials and workmanship:

• Structural components: 5 years
• Mechanical parts (drawer slides, etc.): 2 years
• Finishes: 1 year

This warranty covers normal residential use and excludes damage from misuse, accidents, or improper care.

5.3 Natural Wood Limitations

Our warranty does not cover:

• Normal wear and tear
• Color changes due to sunlight exposure
• Seasonal wood movement
• Damage from improper maintenance

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Ownership

All content on the Website, including designs, text, graphics, logos, and images, is our property or our licensors' and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

6.2 Use Restrictions

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works of any content without our express written permission. Custom designs we create remain our intellectual property.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cedar & Pine Furnishings shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Website or products.

Our total liability for any claim related to these Terms or our products shall not exceed the purchase price of the product at issue.

8. Dispute Resolution

8.1 Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles. The courts in Dehradun shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes.

8.2 Informal Resolution

Before initiating formal proceedings, you agree to attempt to resolve disputes informally by contacting us at hello@cedarpinehome.com.

9. Miscellaneous

9.1 Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, pandemics, or supply chain disruptions.

9.2 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

9.3 Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Cedar & Pine Furnishings regarding the subject matter herein.
